WTT: 1971 US turn signal housing trade against euro housing - Left side

    First post.

I have a left side / passenger side US turn signal housing which I want to trade to a left side / passenger side euro turn signal housing.
    Part number is: 901.631.402.03
It is the bottom housing (without the city light option) on picture IMG_3612.jpg.

Current shape is recently glass beaded as the inside paint/chrome was failing and it unveiled a small hole in the far corner. Other than that it is in good shape for restoration.

Housing only for trade. Lens and wiring to be kept - only switching the housing.
Not interested to sell, just a fair trade.

Open to offers if anyone is selling a euro left side housing.

    Located in europe, Norway.

    Cheers,
    Anders

I have the same dilemma, 2 US front lights, need 2 euro versions.
Are you not better off making the parting plate and putting it in yourself? It can't be that hard to cut the small needed piece? that is my plan at least.

That’s what I have done on more than one occasion. Of course you’re missing the small piece of glass.

My backup plan is to do a parting plate, but I thought I would give it a try to trade it first.
It seems that these signalhousings might be synonymous with "unobtanium".

By looking at the construction of the euro housing, it looks like one could get hold of that glass and parting plate seperatley. If I just knew where to look.

    Update

I finally found a website that sells the partingplate that is required to rebuild a LWB US turn signal housing to a euro turn signal housing.

Check out Eckert sportswagon in Germany here: https://sportwagen-eckert.com/?cat=c...mps-69-73.html
Item number 33c and 33d on the picture. What is missing is the copper connector to support the bulb in place and white cable connected to it along with the "glass" quarter sphere. All but the sphere is fairly straight foreward to source and fabricate.

Thought it might be a good tip if others are in the same situation as me.
