I won't be installing these in my 72T for a couple of weeks, but I remember the same nozzles on the '73 914 I refreshed a couple of years ago were hella tough to pop in place. Interested to hear if anyone has any secrets of tips.

I use a heat gun to heat and soften the rubber, then I bend the rubber neck back and forth several times to kind of loosen it up, then use a lube of your choice, push nozzle in hole, insert a needle nose pliars from underneath so one jaw goes in the nozzle tube and pull down while pushing down from the top. You will need to pull the rubber almost 45 degrees sideways back and forth while pulling down and pushing down.

Removing the chrome cover from the nozzle might help. If your car was repainted you might want to check paint thickness around the nozzle holes, if the paint is too thick the nozzle will not fit.

I used Ed's approach, but dropped them in hot soapy water. Same effect. They become malleable and lubricated.
