    Fresh air vent Filter

Can anyone tell me how is the fresh air vent filter installed in the vent aperture? (Item 11 on the diagram) is it secured with anything? Horizontal or Vertical?Name: Screenshot 2019-12-26 at 19.58.33.jpg

From the diagram, looks like it fits vertically. I see no way of securing it

Purchased the filter and installed it

FYI dimensions are 49 x 9 x 1,7 centimeters. Foam feels like kitchen filter

Debris can collect in the cover with the drain. Having the filter would help. I do wonder about moisture on the filter. Is it like a spun fiberglass the of material?
