thnx. I have the lid/cover, it's the seal that I'm looking for. Is it the same as the sound deadening material on the floor?

when I touched it, it felt like cardboard....and was about 60mm round...and had a thick seam sealer glue smathered around it.

it seemed similar to this disc...but thinner

the disc goes in the front trunk
    just above the smuggler box
with the notch near the tube
and you cannot see the glue on this one...all the glue is underneath

by the way, do you know a guy over there with a '69 yellow targa...that was a 912, but now has 911 engine in it?
that was my car about 15+yrs ago.
