This 1964 Porsche 356C Coupe is a modified Outlaw-style example that was completed in 2018 and finished in it’s original color of Slate Grey (6007) over black and red leatherette. It was built by a professional Porsche repair shop in Texas. The build was intended to mimic an Emory Motorsports restoration and included body metal repair, full repaint, new interior and complete suspension, brake and engine rebuilds. This Porsche is now being offered with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, an original 356C driver’s manual, service and parts records and a clean title.

During the 2018 restoration, work included stripping the body and a full repaint in the original Slate Grey. The bumpers were also deleted, and competition-inspired accessories were installed. Notable features include a new dual exhaust system, Speedster headlight grilles (not presently installed) and amber fog lights. The original body stamps on the hood and rear deck lid are shown in the extensive photo gallery below.

During the restoration, new grey carpet and black and red leatherette upholstery was fitted along with retractable seat belts, a radio delete plate, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. Currently the mechanical odometer shows 8,203km, around 1000km (~625 miles) of which have been accrued since the restoration was completed.

Restored 15 x 4.5 KPZ steel wheels are wrapped in Lemans 165 sized tires. All new brake components, new shocks and new suspension bushings were installed during the restoration.

A type 616/15 engine is installed, which is correct for a 356C. A complete rebuild of the engine was completed and included an upgrade to 1720cc big bore pistons, engine case line bore and polished crankshaft. The heads and engine case were sent to Jone’s Autowerks in San Antonio, Texas. The engine has been driven approximately 625 miles, since it’s rebuild and runs strong. A Pertronix and Winterburn ignition system is installed. Most recent servicing includes an oil change, valve adjustment and carburetor rebuilds and tuning. Excellent smooth shifting correct type 741 4-speed gearbox is installed.

Included are the original owner’s manual, service and parts receipts, Certificate of Authenticity and clean title. Accessories include a toolkit and jack.
