    I’m so jealous of you guys that got to experience this type of racing back then. For me in the ‘70s growing up in East Central Illinois, we had dirt ovals at the Fairgrounds and Indy. That was it, sigh,,,,

    I have taken in some F1 events over seas when work and pleasure could coincide.

    I have a soft spot for rallying of this era because that’s what I first watched as a kid, quite atmospheric …

    What is the current status of Rallying? is there still a world series?

    Having worked on both sides as an advisor to the worldwide and British governing bodies the FiA & the RAC MSA as well as for a racing team — albeit in F1 not WRC - the exchange between exasperated team member and the scrutiniser about possibly using polystyrene as material to hastily address his concern about a suitably flameproof bulkhead is a priceless moment!
