    1965 Porsche 911 chassis no 300474

Some folks here follow the earliest 911 much more assiduously than me so this car’s sale might already be posted elsewhere here … but if not

Not mine no affiliation, although it has appeared various places and shows I’ve attended I’ll probably go to see it being auctioned New Bond St. Mayfair is my old stomping ground having had various offices in that lovely locale over the years. Also good excuse to pop into the West End it’s always lively in the Christmas build-up.

PS I have an original of the earliest AFN price list with 911 on it — maybe I should sell that to whomever buys it as that maybe a more appropriate home than on my shelf.

and its the real deal „restamped“ prototype, made to be the series first rhd 911.

    300 474 is in the built book listet as built number 321, gearbox 100 332, engine 900 421, 27.January 1965, Blaupunkt Stuttgart

    to quote Dave Pateman:
„The Kardex for 13364 says it is a 911 Prototype RHD and notes 300474.
The Kardex for 13365 says it is a 911 Prototype RHD and notes 300475.
My guess would be that the bodies could have been LHD when delivered by Reutter, and then converted to RHD at the Factory.
I did get 13366 but while it says it is a 912 Prototype RHD, it does not convert to a regular VIN …..“

The story of Graeme and his 13366 we do have here

Steve, enjoy your day at the show…and had you posted the pages of the AFN pricelist already?

The recorded 60k mileage seems a tad low ... my '66 911 shows 76k miles but the paper records indicate the car has done more like 275k miles ...

Steve and Robert, do you know if the mileage is accurate?

Hi Stephen, the owner believes it might be - I don't think we can or should say any more than that. Robert

Decided to drop into the New Bond Street sale. Nice atmosphere west end in the run up to Christmas. Coincidentally I spoke to somone who said they had been a previous owner or custodian of this car yesterday but only in passing when we were discussing another car
