The metal ones. Does anyone have any experience with these? Build quality? Fit? Correctness?
Are there significant differences in the housings through ‘73 and those that follow?
Thanks,
John

If u r talking about the fronts, yes. Fit is not bad. Wiring only includes ground, running and turn. I’m taking the old harness and splicing it to the new harness. What’s needed is the bulkhead connector, including headlight, horn and I think fog lights. All threaded holes needed chasing. I had to trim the brass bulb contacts as one touched the housing and the bulb sockets all needed to be honed so a bulb would install. Still better than the plastic ones. G
I recently bought a car that had these installed. They were only a year old but looked much older and the reflective coating was already flaking and peeling. Plus one has a slight bend and when we tried to bend it back it cracked. So, yes, better than the plastic parts which are crap but near-crap at best.
Thanks. Just what I need to know.
John

I have a pair to sell. I modified them to have Euro marker lights. The metal is thin and one flange is bent & cracked. As it's inside the seal, it's really not too disturbing -- especially for the difference in price.
