I have the original trunk pad on my ‘65 and am trying to figure out a way to keep the back from shedding dust and fibers all over the trunk as it’s brittle with age. Has anyone gone through this before? It seems like a flexible, relatively clear adhesive which I can spray on the back to reinforce the fibers and keep it together would be the trick. I figure I only have one good shot at this so want to find the right coating. Whatever I use, it can’t get sticky or activate in heat as it’ll get pretty hot in the trunk here in the desert. Really looking for someone who has done this before but also general ideas welcome. Thanks.
