    Early wood steering wheel

I'm helping a friend who's 85 yrs old sell some parts. Starting with this steering wheel. It appears to be dated 11/67. The wood is so nice I can't help but wonder if it was restored. I don't think it's a repro but feedback is welcome. It's missing the hub and horn button. One of the screw holes on the back might be damaged or even have a broken piece inside, see pic. Not sure what it's worth but did some research and am starting at $1100 ConUS shipped.
