I've been remiss in not getting some photos up. Pandemic excuse is weak but it's had me crazy busy with work the past two weeks.
Anyway here are a couple of pics, taken with my Galaxy S9+ smartphone and unedited. In both pics the stock lighting will be on the left, the Audette Collection lighting on the right. My car is a LHD LWB, so for the front the stock lights will be on the passenger side and the Audette lights on the driver side. For the rear the stock lights on the driver side and the Audette lights on the passenger side. In the rear pic I tripped the driveway light sensor but hopefully you still get the sense of the difference in output.

Not very impressive. If that was a blind test I wouldn't be able to tell which was which. However, I have sold many sets and everyone seems pleased. In any event, here are the numbers to support the claims regarding improved illumination (source: Daniel Stern):
Standard bulbs
- single filament: 460 lumens
- double filament: 440/35 lumens
AC High performance bulbs
- single filament: 677 lumens = +47%
- double filament: 684/46 lumens = +55% / +31%
I have learned that one of the factors that improves performance is that these are filled with krypton gas rather than the argon used in most incandescent bulbs.
I have a good level of inventory for the moment. Backorders from months ago keep coming in.
Also, I'm now including a halogen 50w backup bulb in the kit.
Stay safe,
John

Your average camera can't pick up differences in bright spots (the lights) in a low-light situation. The bright spots will be radically over-exposed. You need a camera that has manual controls, so that you can under-expose the picture as a whole. Only then will the differences between the bright spots be noticeable. And still not as noticeable as the human eye can discern.

To be honest I agree. The rears are an improvement to the naked eye; the fronts not so much. I'd recommend a better photographer with better equipment and a more controlled setting. I'm afraid I'm not helping your sales very much.
As I said, they're smartphone pics, unedited. My son has a DSLR camera; I'll try to borrow it from him and retake.

John, I looked at getting a set, but how much do these puppies weigh? 2 day USPS was only option at $65 to east coast. Is it really that expensive to ship? Thx. Karl.

Thanks Karl! It’s becoming evident that I’m not smart enough to set up Shopify shipping correctly. I “think” it’s fixed.

I'd like a set or two of these but also need H1 bulbs... don't see any on your site, John. Can you recommend another source if you don't carry them?

Hi Russ...
Great question. I just added H1 bulbs to the store catalog (H4's are on Here). I've spent a lot of time (too much) researching bulbs and Daniel Stern has been a great source of information and I'm offering what I believe to be the Best-in-Class in both cases. *Much* brighter light, no need for relay kit, shorter life.
The H1 bulbs that I've chosen to recommend are the GE (Tungsram) Megalight Ultra H1 +90. There's more information at the AC Store - available for $38.00 a pair.
