Brands Hatch Kent England 1970 and 1971

Not sure if posted here before...Brands Hatch has a very special atmosphere and great viewing due to shape of the countryside ....maybe not sharpest video quality but footage captures some of that atmosphere.....

Thru the Mid 1980s Brands Hatch would host Formula 1 races. If I remember correctly they would host the British GP every other year switching back and forth with the Silverstone Circuit.

Yep generally they switched year on year. Used to get along to both venues. Quite different circuit to Silverstone.

Went there with a friend in summer last year. Kindly as guests of “an officer and gentleman” to watch him race a 90s RSR. We had a lovely day in the Kent sunshine. Much appreciated The weather was very contrasting to the extremely wet event in the 70s film— hot and dry. A beautiful English summer day. A bit too hot for the two drivers. The short Indy Circuit circuit of a little over a mile provides excellent viewing due to the natural amphitheatre shape without having to traipse all the way out to the full GP circuit.

I have been to Brands Hatch several times, even had a track day there. Amazing track, viewing, atmosphere (guess what it is in UK :-))

Xavier if you pay circuit owner MSV (Jonathan Palmer) a bit more money they'll let you use a car on their racetrack

I was not allowed to use the AM Vantage GT3 that day, so I had to cope with I had in hands...my feet
