    Transmission Shipping

I thought I'd share a little "WiN" shipping a 901 to my buddy James in Pennsylvania. I'm in the bicycle industry and every company I know uses www.bikeflights.com to ship everything. Bikeflights is doing so much business with UPS Ground that the savings are unbelieveable. At 110lbs and measuring 37 x 17 x 19, the price from Denver to PA was $87.95. So here's how it works:

    1. Get online and buy the Coleman Xtreme 5 Cooler 100 Quart with wheels for under $70 delivered - https://www.amazon.com/Coleman-100-Q.../dp/B000G64FJK
    2. Wrap the trans in plastic if you wish but not imperative. Do use foam, paper and or cardboard to keep trans from moving in the cooler.
    3. Log on to www.bikeflights.com. Create an account. Trust me, if you sell Porsche parts you'll want this account. Enter dimensions of "Bike Box" or "Gear Bag". Either decription works. Enter a weight of 110lbs and dimensions of 37 x 17 x 19
    4. If you don't have a regular UPS pickup at your workplace, you can pay an additional pickup fee of $15 to schedule a driver to pick up your cooler/box the following business day. The UPS Ground maximum allowable weight is 150lbs and the dimensions are much larger than the cooler.
    5. Purchase the label which will be emailed to you. Print it off and tape it to the cooler/box and you're good to go.

I've also used Bikeflights.com several times to ship FUCHS to Peter Nguyen for restoration in 20 x 20 x 20 FedEx boxes. Cover up the fedEx logos.

Hope you find this helpful. The cooler is a PERFECT fit for a 901 and 915.

    Best, Sean
