    One Horn or Two?

Restoring my US-spec, 5 speed 1970 911T. Factory options included a radio, rear tow hook, rubber bumper guards and S instruments. I found that it has a single snail horn mounted under the left battery box, but there is wiring and a bracket for a horn on the right side. The 700 mile 911S pictures show a right side horn, but I recently saw a picture of the underside of a 911T for sale that did not show a right side horn. Should I have a right side horn or not?

    Thanks,

    Bruce E

My early '72 T has a pair of horns, both on the left side. It also has unused wires on both sides for fog lights, which my car did not come with.

I thought all LWB had 2 horns, but don't know from personal knowledge which ones might need one on each side.

For what it's worth did a search of the pretty original T's on BAT to see what they had and most had two snail horns.

A super original 69T I found looks like it had two horns but one was missing.

Very different than my '72. So pay no attention to what I wrote above.

There is usually a horn on both sides . The car is now 50 years old , and something has happened to the right horn .
