During model year 73. My 12/72 RS is 73 model year has a two bolt not later single. There were at least three versions around that time. Black finish strap two bolts. A more rarely seen different galvanized finish also two bolts but of different ( smaller?) size to former and then this single bolt per your illustration.
Edition 11 dated 9/72 paper Spare parts book shows two bolt version.
There was prior thread discussion triggered by a question from Clyde. Concluded likley transition from two to single bolt was just after the calendar 72- 73 Christmas holiday (give or take and subject to inventory being used up,) but maybe more precision on date in that thread if you need it.
Thread summarizes it well....

Coincidentally I was chatting to another long term owner of a RHD RS at an event last summer about this strap evolution. His and mine both matched exactly on strap type. The existence of three variations particularly the smaller two bolt grey zinc one being rarer than two M8 black or single cad colour yellow is one of those small athenticity details in that transition window. Seems like the grey zinc galvenized twin M6 version was a short-lived temporary solution during switch near Christmas. Wimpy or not, one if those correct to narrow date details.
I have a spare orphan used single bolt with Carrera 2.7 original timing sticker marked AG...not repro... It is used if someone needs one of these and prizes patinated used original authenticity over replaced all shiny pretty repro strap and label . Being AG not KG so too late vintage to keep as spare for my car but I've never seen a truly accurate 2.7 repro timing sticker for strap despite many sticker reproducers having a go.

Like others have said, 3 versions. Black 2 8mm hex bolts, plated 2 6mm hex bolts and the final version, plated 1 8mm Allen bolt. My March RS was single Allen bolt. Really a mid year changeover, with the 2 6mm bolt strap (not a very robust strap) filling the gap between the earlier and later version. I suspect a supply problem between the 1st & 3rd types. G
my thanks to you both!
