    Early 65 spring plate bushing

I’m replacing the spring plate bushings on my May ‘65 911 and ran into a snag. I ordered the ones from Elephant Racing but when I took mine off, the outer is different. The cover is similar to a T6 356B (356Cs have no center hole) and it has the ribbed bushing like the later 356s. The rubber is not bonded to the spring arm like a normal 911. Is this how early 911s were or did someone change the outer bushing and plate? The car is so incredibly unmolested that I assumed it was not changed but anything is possible. Any photos of early car spring plate covers out there?

To be specific, the first photo is the cover on my ‘65 and the second is the typical 911 cover. Just verifying what is correct for an early car.

Thanks. That is what I was thinking but wanted to verify. I’ll check the inner bushing size again.

Inner bushing is a 356 bushing. The online 911 PET catalog calls out a 644 number.
