Front & rear latch parts. Are they the same ?

Are the front and rear latch parts the same/ interchangeable.? I specifically mean the pin, spring and thread size of the pin and retaining nut.

I have lost my rear engine lid latch plate, but i have most parts from a front latch so maybe only need to source the rear base plate.?

No sir...rear lid latch hardware is about half the size of the front - meaning the pin diameter, spring, etc.

Minor correction - the spring for front and rear is the same PN, but the pin size (and it's thread) and the pot-metal sleeve are indeed different.
