My new H1's from Auto Foreign

    ••••••••••••

    Spoiler Alert! --
If you only use original or NOS parts on your car, might as well move on to a different thread.

    ••••••••••••

I just received and installed a new set of reproduction H1 headlights from Auto Foreign Services (Soterik). What a great product! No, they don't say 'BOSCH' on the lens, but other than that I suspect they are indistinguishable from the originals. They look like jewelry. The fit is perfect. And Eric even includes new attaching screws, nylon washers, screw spacers, and even the correct thin headlight seals for these lights. Really pleased to have an option for the 'correct' type of light for a car built prior to the 3/72 change point to the H4 lights. I am totally happy with these lights!

Eric is such an asset to the community. It was good to see him back in action at the Lit Meet & swap. His TTG light grilles are far better than OE.

    +1

I bought a set of TTG grilles and lights for my targa (which came with them originally) and they are spectacular.

Looks like some good parts for early 911's. His business model sounds similiar to 914rubber for those of us who also are attached to the mid-engined bastard child...

If they are a s good as Mr. Kemmer"s products sold by Eric such as the Cibie hood, Hella 128 and 118 lights they are jewelry. Id like to see swb signals as the next project. Sold my 914s but my 4C Alfa carries on that sore butt tradition. My 914rubber 911 door seal was about 3 inches too short, just sayin.

I wonder why he wouldn't put BOSCH on the lens, such an important detail, JUST KIDDING, great looking lights

This is why I would never do repro parts, but I applaud the people who do, perfection is very very hard to achieve and when achieved can usually preclude any profit. I've heard nothing but perfection coming from Auto Foreign, but I can't imagine the length's he goes to get there. We should all just hope and pray he likes what he's doing because many times someone comes along, makes a great product, finds the profit is not worth it and moves on. Anyone remember Veloce rubber, it was really nice, but they moved on. So if you like his work, spend your money, keep him happy and flush to work on the next impossible part. The Porsche world is a better place with people making good products.
