I didn’t have a real use nor the room. It’s big! So congrats!
Yes, it's big! It took 2 lifts to get it off the ground.

I know it isn't a VP truck, but included in some slides the original owner of my 911 sent was this image. I wish I was born 20 years earlier.

My research shows there were at least 2, and probably 3, Chevy ramp trucks in the possession of Vasek and the Porsche factory, while campaigning in the Can-Am. I'm pretty sure the one truck used by the factory in 1969 was acquired by Vasek in 1970. The factory ran the 917 - PA, in 1969, out of the John von Neumann's shop in Culver City. While the truck was white colored, it wore different graphics identifying "Porsche Competition Department". I know one truck went through restoration in Canepa's shop. It came out a little over done with Alcoa aluminum wheels. But what do you expect, Bruce is a truck guy at heart. A second truck could be seen on occasion in the paddock at Laguna Seca historic events with a beautiful Ginetta G12 Coupe alongside. It was not restored to concours level, and looked a work-a-day support vehicle.

I have a 1969 Chevy ramp truck similar to these and I have some ramp bed mods to do. Anyone know who built these beds originally? The rounded edges are a unique style not shared by Hodges or Carolina haulers.
If not then maybe dimensions from yours so I can have the fabricator copy the edge to top angles.

I am interested in one of these haulers. If anyone has one or knows where I can get one, please let me know. THank you.
