    Paint Code for 69 Silver Metallic

    I'm restoring a 69 911S and the factory color was the Silver Metallic 6851 but we can't seem to find a paint code for it in Glasurit or PPG. Does anyone have a paint code that would match the 6851 it came with?

    Glasurit appears to have superseded all earlier Porsche silvers with the one used after Sept. 1971. Try Silver Metallic 936.

    Besides 6851 you can try 924 or 96024. Please see attached Chassis Service Bulletin 10/1970.

    are there more color codings in this service bulletin?

    from memory the 936 has a little more black than the 924 or 925
