    68's had 5.5s, No?

Mid to late date code 68 deep sixes would be correct for 69 MY

Yes, if I am well informed 15 inch wheels were ‘extra’. The standard size was 14 inch but many people selected the upgrade with 15 inch Fuchs wheels. In 1967 the 911S had 4,5x15. In 1968 5,5x15 and 1969 and so on had 6x15. But there are also 1968 deep six wheels but those are rare.

PS the two deep six I am talking about can be obtained in combination with the 7R wheels. I would love to see them on a 1968 car.

It is the age old "year model" Vs "Year of manufacture" conundrum. "Deep 6s" were produced in 1968 for the 1969 year model cars. By the way, 14" wheels were never "standard"

Thank you Jim for your knowledge about this. So was the 15 inch steel wheel the standard? And most of the people preferred the upgrade with Fuchs aluminium wheels?

What about the hydropneumatic suspension cars? Were they not equipped with 14''? Although it can be said that is an option, or was it std for the E?

Yes, 14s came on hydropheumatic cars. Listed usually as the "comfort group" option.

Starting in the 1968 year model, 15 X 5 1/2" painted steel wheels were standard. 6 X 15 Alloy wheels were optional starting in the 1969 model year.
