    Lost Glove Box Key

Any recommendations on sourcing a working key for a '67 911 glove box lock. I have been told it is virtually impossible. Thanks...

You should contact Tony Euganeo - he's key master and has blanks for many Porsche keys. If you know the code of the lost key (Kardex info) you can tell him and he may be able to make a key without the lock. Otherwise, send him the lock and he will make the key.

Roy, as the replies above convey, yes, it is possible to have a key made for your glove box lock. The comments that it is "virtually impossible" refer to obtaining a genuine DOM blank from which to cut the key. The DOM key was what came with your car from the factory. Only concours obsessives worry about such a thing. It is straightforward for a lock specialist to make you an aftermarket key that will work. Additionally, should you find an original DOM glove box key (lucky you) from another car, a lock smith can reconfigure your existing lock to accept that key, again, as has been stated above..
