Yeah, Nick's car had Koni's from the factory then was changed to Bilstein when the work was done in France. They just used the old ones. I have correct washers on order with the rest of it.

Hi scott, someone changed those, no matter what shock the car came with, they would of been the correct top washer from the factory. G

It's time for an update. Scott and his team have made some great progress over the past 2+ weeks. The high build primer was both block sanded and then wet sanded in preparation for base color and clear coat. In typical Longballa fashion, Scott is a master of details; I'm including one photo of the lower rocker where the proper texture was applied. The deco trim will cover this, but this is what makes Scott great, his knowledge and insistence on getting all the details covered. Scott is using Glasurit 55 Line silver metallic paint which I understand can't be purchased in Ca, but can be in Oregon. Next step will be polishing, but the clear coat must cure and harden first:

Looks great, awesome car, a little bit surprised that the doors were not mounted to the chassis for painting. Silver is always difficult to match the way the metallic settles depending on surfaces being vertical or horizontal. Doors weren't quite in the same position relative to the chassis, also the hinge bolts should have same finish as the hinges. Tough to paint the bolts then install, they always chip.

Porsche didn't paint the doors on the car. The hinge bolts are painted as the hinges are mounted on the car and painted with the bolts installed just as factory. This is common knowledge. Porsche aligned the doors then removed the hinge pins and doors for painting. No tape lines.
