    race results 1973

I have some memorabilia from Monterey/ Laguna Seca 1973. One is a nice wooden plaque with great graphics awarded to 2nd in class. How can I find race results from the 1973 Castrol GTX Grand Prix weekend. This award looks Porsche specific, part of the graphics are of the 73 Parade logo. I also have the 73 monterey car badge with the same logo. I'm trying to find out who won this award.

    Question

    Steve,

Please be more specific of exactly what you are looking for. I have the complete 18th Parade packet, with the subsequent results booklet. If you show us the trophy I might be able to find it in the results booklet....

Trying larger, guess it could be autocross or concours too?? The plaque is evocative of the Nurburgring badges with the green/white and the track layout.

    Lightbulb

    OK...

No, it probably wouldn't be the concourse or auto cross... The specific name for the track day/time trial was the 'Castrol GTX Grand Prix'

So... I'll look through all 26 race classes and try to pick out only the Zone 7 second place winners, and send you a list of the possibilities... There will quite a few seeing Zone 7 is Northern CA and Northern Nevada and was well represented in the Grand Prix... Lots of 'could be's'

Please PM me your email so I don't have to look you up...

    Cheers,
    Chuck
