We’ve been driving all NY’s weekend..
Doug, we literally left the Palomar Mart minutes before your arrival. Your caravan looked pretty impressive going up the hill as we were going down

You guys are killing' me... All that beautiful sunshine on New Year's Day. Well, things were a bit different up here in the Pacific North "Wet" - raining and 35 degrees. The Pac West chapter of the R Gruppe was, however, undaunted - we had our annual "Resolution Run" regardless. I believe this is now about a 16-17 year unbroken tradition, rain or shine, and even in the snow some years.
This year, alas, I was forced to sit out for the very first time. I did make it to the send-off and enjoyed a cup of coffee with the lads before they hit the road, thanks to my son Alex, who graciously chauffeured my suffering carcass. You see, this year's "Christmas gift" to myself has been a raging case of the shingles... ouch... leaving me in no shape to drive. That's a story for another time, though. I have to tell you, it lifted my spirits dramatically to see the guys pulling out, and to listen to the song of sport mufflers properly ringing in the new year. As it should be...
My good bud Bryan, driving The Smurf, picked up the slack and did a fine job of leading the pack on a 200 mile plus loop. Thanks, guys, for brightening my day, even if it was by leaving...

Took advantage of the great Nor Cal weather today in the mid-60’s on a run to the coast. Pic is taken just north of Davenport.

Great pic Steve.... Haven't been up that way for awhile...
Man, the Calif. weather has just been outrageous lately...
Here's one I took about 30 years ago about seventeen miles north of Davenport at the Pelican Point Lighthouse...
