    Leaking Carburettor

    I have a 1968 Coupe.
I replaced the gold coloured lever.
I noticed that petrol is leaking from behind it as indicated by the picture.
I have also noticed that after a run the tick over is high for a couple of minutes then drops down to 600 rpm.
    Are these two issues connected.
    Thanks for any advice.

Try backing the nut off one flat. Won't solve leaking but should help idle. And YES, call Paul.

Called Paul, could not have been more helpful.
We are checking the float chambers.

You were also trying to solve for throttle hanging open, you may have the shaft nut too tight.
