    Small Wire Harness Grommet

After searching through a number of threads here as well as checking the parts catalog, I am having trouble finding a listing for one of the small wire harness grommets.

The LWB applications for this grommet from what I can tell are the following:

    1. Rear window defogger electrical harness through the rear parcel shelf.
    2. Door Courtesy lamp switch harness through front fire wall (upper trunk area), I believe both left and right sides.

The rough dimensions are as follows:

    1. Fits 16mm OD hole.
    2. Pass through ID approximately 4mm.

I am looking to see if there is an active part number for this grommet.

    Thank you all,

I think this is 111.971.911.A; Most photos online seem to match what I am looking for. It is a bit odd that there are no part numbers on the grommet I have but, I will order a few of this number on my next parts order and see how they line up.

Also appears to be the same as used on the wiring harness for TTG lights. Check the parts manuals in the the section showing headlights, fog and driving lights.

Also used for door contact wiring thru panels.

    Gordon,

Thanks, I agree with the application you listed.

    Michael,

I took a quick look and had a pair of grommets from some TTGs/TN4s nearby. These are quite close but just a scaled down version for a 12mm OD hole and 2-4mm harness (bottom in photo).

Looking at the suggested pages in the PET and Older printed catalog, I have a few potential numbers the TTG grommets may be.

    #53-999.702.015.50-NLA
#82-999.702.046.50-8x10x7 Cable Bush-NLA- Looks to be for the rear fog light wiring, also listed as 928 condenser grommet.
    #83-999.702.020.50-8x12x7 Cable Bush-Current/Active listing .61 cents each.

I may add a few of the active listing part on my next order also.

    Thanks all,

Shucks, thought I’d nailed the landing, LOL. Horseshoes and hand grenades as they say!

    Cheers for that!

I think the landing was just fine. If you don't swing you will never miss...

It will still be good to figure out the grommets for either application.

    Thanks,

Sorry for the delay here. The answer turned out to be 111-971-911-A "Rubber Grommet" about $3 from your favorite parts supplier.
