Congratulations on your new ride, loving that interior! When these came out a friend had just gotten a 930, and at a party we went to someone had a new 928.
I was amazed at how compact the 928 was. Larger overall as one expected of a V8 grand tourer, but not fat.

These days they aren't a common sight, and you're right, a new 911 seems considerably larger.

A few years ago I saw an amazing time capsule '82 in what looked like metallic root beer brown with matching pasha. Not long after I scored one of the Porsche scarfs in the same color on eBay for $50.

At last year's Rare Shades was this beauty, a one owner car. Sadly, no interior photos.

Congratulations for this nice looking early 928!
I'm partial to green 928s, so really like yours.

I still need to find the last of the four green CSs!
My 1988 is just boring black on black

Thanks! My guess is I will probably acquire another if the right one comes along. (One for each coast).

    This one came from Europe.

Unusual but interesting colors combination, with the grey/green interior.
I hope that you enjoy it, despite the low miles.

    Vow!
A friend tries to find an early continental orange 928. Please let me know if you find one for sale.

Indeed I will be... :-). I won't load it up with miles but it will be driven. Cars like these are always better when used regulary. And yeah... you wouldn't think those colors work together but it's really quite striking.

On the issue of handling, there is a blend of understeer at < 40 speeds, but much more responsive at speed. Perhaps what helps attract a larger crowd toward the 911, is how the drivetrain can be pulled in a whole lot easier fashion, whereas getting the torque tube out generally needs the whole rear suspension dropped out of the car. Not a weekend type deal. T-tubes plant the car better on acceleration, but I've often wondered -- if there were a trans behind the motor, driveshaft in place, to a Diff...that it might still handle well.
