Sorry David. Horrible. It would help if you posted more pictures of the car here and elsewhere, especially of any unique features that help identify it as your car.

Thanks for the link to European Collectibles- that’s the car! I haven’t done much since I bought it except install the stock muffler and period correct Blaupunkt. Regardless, I’ll happily post a few more pics in hopes that it helps.

I would certainly jump on the Facebook effect to reach the most number of people the quickest. Might as well use it for some good. For every thief there’s 5 or 10 people knowledgeable of their actions. Find a Facebook power-user. I’m sure there’s one close to you.

I'm sorry to hear this. I will certainly keep eyes and ears open down in the South Bay.
I hope the best for you. Such a beautiful car.

Can someone please list the best security these days?
I don't know the best way to protect anymore.
I hadn't heard of dog trackers or these chips.
Is the "club" not a thing anymore? Too easy to defeat?
My car came with a vintage siren. So did my dad's car. Maybe I'll hook that up.

I posted the relevant information on the Facebook “Air Cooled 911 and 912” page, which had 34,000 members.

Just so everyone is aware, these cars wind up in a container and ship to Russia, South America, and Eastern countries with little regulation. Too much risk to chop them, and not enough money.
