WTB: 1973 Double Locker sport seat nylon slider inserts

I’ve got sport seats with the double locker bases in my 1973 and am looking for 5 of the small rectangular rail inserts that are the nylon that Porsche used for their friction points.

Mine weren’t in too bad of shape, so I’m assuming to replace the missing ones vs a complete restoration.

Curious on what you guys do for these? Bases are being clear zinc’d.

    Thanks team!

Right on! That’s it. Wow, I was thinking they were expensive and Stoddard used to sell them for more, back in the day.

Looks like I’m going to replace the missing ones only at that price.

    Thanks man!

Sorry to hijack this thread. I never knew these were fitted. Were they only fitted to sports seats or also comfort seats?

I had comfort seats in my T and replaced with ideal S seats and they were fitted in neither. Are these meant to make the seats slide easier?

Where do they go, is it in the groove?

My seats are very tight to slide back and forth and these may help.

    Many thanks

Not sure about comfort seats never owned a Porsche with comforts in it.

There is a small cut out in the track of all sports seats, same size as the plastic insert and they push into that.

Their job is to assist gliding and in my experience it will be the alignment of your rails causing difficulty to move which can be adjusted by playing around with the outside plate
    that the seat attaches too.

Wow thanks Clyde, I never knew they were fitted. Stoddards seem to be the only ones that sell them and say I need 16 for 2 seats.

Correct 4 per runner, you may have to drill out the centre pin to get to the bottom rail to be able to replace on comfort seats same pin is a more sensible screw on a sports seat

    Thanks Clyde

I took my Comfort seat runners apart and now I know exactly what the Plastic Seat Rail Slide is.

The runner on the sport seats are a different profile\shape to the comfort seats, I assume they will fit ?

Sorry for all the questions. I hope this will not only help me but others as well.

    Cheers

    Mike
