    M471 1970 vs 1971 MY

Hello the option M471 excited in both MY 1970 and 1971, however for 1970, M471 was for 2 stage electrical heated and clear rear window while for 1971 model year, M471 would be a competition package,

Why would porsche use the same option 471 in to consecutive years with such different purposes?

That is the same information that I have. And yes, one has to watch out for the code changes each year.

I think m569 suffers the same fate? for 1972 it's the rear nerf bar but for other years it's a fog light kit....very different things for different years.
