I have the seats out of my 1973 911E and want to address at minimum the aged webbing of the seat belts. I plan to drive the car regularly and want to improve safety. I can send off the originals to be rewebbed. Alternatively I can purchase a kit sold by Stoddard. https://www.stoddard.com/sic80301200...01200-sic.html

Pros/Cons:

Stoddard belts don’t look as original but will likely be safer; the components such as latch and retractor are 50 year old parts and a 50 year old design. Since it’s a bolt in kit, I can revert in the old units in the future so its reversible. Another pro is I think the turn-around time will be much less buying the new parts.

Does anyone have experience with the Stoddard kits?
