FS: The ultimate 1971 Volkswagen Bus Transporter Westfalia camper restored

I have a very unusual camper bus available for sale. There is nothing else like this available anywhere. This 1971 factory Westy Tin top camper has been restored over a 10 year period to an unbelievable level of quality. This is uncharted territory for a Bay Window Bus but here goes...

1971 VW Transporter Westfalia Camper. White exterior bare metal paint job, beige interior. Rust free California Bus in original restored condition, better than original. $30k paint job - Glasurit 22 Line single stage cream white. Entire undercarriage restored using the best German parts, freeway flier transmission, disc front brakes, everything new. Engine rebuilt and upgraded, 2074cc torquey engine, 78x92mm, , 78mm counterweighted crank, CB Performance 044 Heads, electronic engine management system, CDI ignition. Oil system seriously upgraded, full flow oil system, all hoover oil mods, piston squirters, thermostat controlled external oil cooler, Accusump oil pressure booster - provides full oil pressure at startup and during all running times. Totally original appearing engine with subtle improvements to add torque. Interior was completely restored to original condition but with a better finish. The interior is done to a fine furniture level and is authentically done. Trim parts are all original refinished to new, we spent a long time re-chroming all door handles, sink facet, etc. This job has taken 10 years to complete! The price is only slightly higher than the cost of the restoration - seriously. Only 500 miles on it so far, it is a new Bus ready if you want the best camper Bus on the planet then this is your chance.

    Price is $SOLD
