    FS: @eBay - 1971 Porsche 911T

    NO RESERVE

Here we have a throwback to the '80s. This 1971 911T started out in beautiful Signal Orange paint over black interior. Sadly, it fell victim to the '80s big body update and resale red paint treatment many years ago. The good news is the surgeons did not cut the front clip off to make the bumper conversion, they changed the latch panel, but left all of the battery boxes alone. The original Signal Orange is visible under the trunk carpet, also. Both make it a much easier job to bring back to stock than many. This is a California car, last registered in 2017, and the condition of the chassis reflects this.

The car was imported from California to New Hampshire and stored with the owner's Porsche collection in a climate controlled garage. He drove it into the garage intending to restore it but never got to it. We woke the car up with fresh fuel and battery, and were able to hit the road immediately. It fired up quickly and held its own idle right away. Please check out the video. It has been sitting for a couple of years, so there are a couple of things to note. The car is hard to start when cold. The brakes are a little sticky at times. The tach functions intermittently.

The original engine was upgraded to a 2.7 911S engine, Typ 911/84, engine number 6561251. 911/01 gearbox.

The red paint shines well but there are blemishes, scratches and dings to see. Look at the pics for an example of this. The updates to the body were done well, using all steel and factory components. The blacked out brightwork is starting to show wear. The interior is in good shape, with recent racing style seats. Original instruments are intact, as is the dash, steering wheel, knee guard and other early 911 components. Again, the photos say a lot.

Unlike other sellers who list their cars with a sky-high reserves, this is a No Reserve auction, so if you want it, it can be yours.

This car has a clean title and is ready for export.
