    deck lid script

    Hello... I bought these from Auto Atlanta on line. They were advertised as used.... I thought they would have been original for my 1968 9/11L ...
    the sales picture did not show these threaded post... Does anyone have any knowledge as to these? I dont want to assume i know what is or isnot "original"....

    I have never seen anything like that.
    It reminds me on the very old lapel pins from Italy.

    I am not familiar with 66 and 65 cars. Could they have used these unique finger nuts?

    If I had to guess. I think someone just made his own garage fastening system.

    I look forward to the comments from others.

    yes Scott... they are very well made . the lapel reference fits. they go into the stock holes perfectly.... strange, in that how well and detailed . the top surface is not perfectly "flat" shiny and smooth but not perfectly flat.
