Thread: MFI electric fuel pump no pressure

    The electric pump does not set system pressure. The check valve at the filter console does. You can do a quick test by pinching the return hose in the engine bay while monitoring fuel pressure.

    Granted, but if you disconnect the feed line to the filter console, and dead head the pump it should be 2 bar of pressure,,,,right???

    I don't remember what electric pump pressure check valve is anymore. 1bar? CIS is 2?...That may be system pressure. If you dead head the system at the Return line of the filter console and see pressure, AND the volume is in spec, I would look at the MFI check valve. If you see no pressure then I would chase the electric pump first, and then verify check filter console checkvalve.
