Late 70 early 71 ST Build info request

Need a couple questions answered on
ST Build I am about to embark on.
    1. Mfi or Webers?
    2. Narrow body or Flares
    3. 7’s and 8’s or 8’s and 9’s?
    4. Source for real ST steel flares?
    5. Oil cooling system 1 or 2 coolers?
    6. 2.3 or 2.5
    Really looking forward to comments.
Starting platform is a ‘71 Euro spec T
Non-sunroof coupe original color signal orange.
Matching numbers drivetrain. Nice rust free
    Chassis. Thanks again ...

Depends if your matching factory or your asking for opinions

All I will offer is on point 6 for a 70/71 ST it is 2.3 and twin coolers elephant racing can help with repro version of twin coolers and crossover lines

Slippery slope your on hope you have deep pockets if your serious about getting it right

    Clyde, don't scare Mike.

The early 2.247cc engines of the 2.3 ST used the standard engine cooler with the single front fender cooler, as per the 911S.

That should save a bit of cash....!

Yes... an expensive project if it is going to be done as authentic as possible... ask me how i know...
Good luck with the build, look forward to the progress.

Fuel system would be either. All 911 entrants at the June 70 Le mans ran with Webers. By the 71 race, half the 911 cars entered has switched to MFI.

I decided to use the MFI on my 2.3 ST build as i wanted it to drive well in town etc.

    Question. Preferred wheels on a
Very early ‘71 ST would be 8s and 9s?
Appreciate the info so far. I actually have
A complete ‘69S oil system I’ve been saving.
The thread on the olive colored ST built
Some years ago is sensational. Really want to
Do a period correct build on this if possible.
Any ideas on where to get steel ST flares ?
