Thanks, raced it,rallied it,thrashed around the leipzig test track etc,a truly great car with a 2.5 mfi,and shed loads of grip
It is a 471 and 491 with pretty much all steel panels thin gauge , and the double inner fenders factory done for rallying.Glad its inspired a few folk.
To me it begs the question 'what the hell could you have replaced it with ??????'
No matter, I envy and admire your time as its custodian....
Cheers,

Ah well,i had a 906 for about 5 years, raced that great fun but dangerous cars to race properly,so now the ultimate 911 in my book a 2.8rsr,a st On steroids and a lot faster
Funny story with the st,a mate at eb motorsport said at the nurburg ring when we racing down there in the rsr,hey have you seen the st in scruttaneering, its got realy funny shaped arches cant be a original, the new owner was having trouble with the scrutts on its fia papers and some uniquie parts on the car like its double inner fenders, they did not know a original car when they see one!We got it through the scrutts with the help of a few phone calls.
Took a look at Restoration Design's ST flares.
Anyone used these? They are pricey. Apparently
they get them from a vender in Europe.
Early vs. late ST build? I see that some prefer
narrow body early build and others prefer the
2.5 wide body build. Seems like a '71 could go
both ways possibly. Any thoughts? Would either build
have 2 fender coolers? I know a '72 build would?
I think you can buy them direct from the chap in poland, use 9 inch steels on the rear and a quality copy grp front arch, try eb motorsport for a complete front fender, they are not cheap but fit well and fairly close to the real thing, rothsport are there agent in the usa.
Depends what you are going to do with car re front coolers, mine had two.
