    PORSCHE PHOENIX Fan Belt

I have a few remaining belts that I made up for early 911. These are made from brand new Optibelts, cleaned, and original artwork applied as shown in the photos. I make them with two different date codes as shown, and only in those date codes. Some have successfully taken it upon themselves to change the date info, but I do not offer that service.
I have 3 of the 6/01 date code, and 5 of the 8/01 date code remaining.
Price is $89 each plus PayPal fee and shipping cost brings the total to $99 each delivered in the USA.

Could anyone tell me if the Phoenix belt in the tool kit was a worldwide thing (particularly European delivery) or USA only?

    Thanks

    Hi Tim,

I certainly wouldn’t claim to know the whole picture but the toolkit that came in my 12/72 produced 911 is highly likely the original and has the Phoenix belt of relevant date. Car c16/EG Rhd delivered to U.K. and low number ownership chain never left U.K. according to dvla papers I have from day one. On that basis unlikely its belt came from elsewhere — can’t be 100 percent of course — but certainly looks like at least one Phoenix belt here was original on car imported by PCGB for model 73.

Generally where still present I’ve seen little else than Phoenix old original looking ( including some very worn dead - why retained?) in toolkits until optibelt cropped in the early part of G series. That pattern observed when working for fun in friend’s specialists independent Porsche garage with cars coming from all over but less well documented provenance. Just a hobby in passing observation so others in business will have seen more examples to draw broader conclusion than me. Never seen any as bright as these colours. My guess it was Phoenix across world until optibelt era ..no doubt a few exceptions and oddities as usual to confuse us

I've bought a few of these from Paul and they are great. For both 356's and 911's. Just ordered two more today. Recommended.
