The top does not look like a standard factory muffler but maybe its just a later version.

Can you post photos of the brand stamping and part numbers.

I'm interested but for that money I'd need more details showing that it is a Genuine factory 6 muffler.

    Thanks

It was sold to me by a well respected Porsche guy but that doesn’t always mean anything!
It has that extra layer of steel on the back.
I will look it over to find the part numbers.

    Thanks
    John

Why did it need the extra layer of steel?

I’ve checked in with some experts and waiting for a definitive answer on which muffler is the correct one for 914/6.
This one is different than any other muffler I’ve seen on a 911.

If a Sixer, the inlet pipes should be longer than a 911. Unfortunately I think that second skin is covering the area where the Leistritz logo and PN would be stamped. Kinda looks home fabbed like maybe rust repair?? Never seen a stock 911 or 914-6 tha looked like that.

    Sorry charlie
Numbers are clearly marked on the muffler
No rust on an unused muffler
    Extra panel is factory workmanship.
Of course I’ve heard Satman is an expert metal fabricator based on all the threads showing his work
Never have seen his car posted or even running for that matter

Can’t wait to hear your input on NOS TURN SIGNAL HOUSINGS
Perhaps the brand new patina is covering the rust !
