    To date I haven't had an opportunity to drive a 2.2 911S. For now enjoying the more composed civil nature of the lower compression 2.4 911S. Nonetheless I'm still watching the market and waiting for what I consider the ideal 2.2 911S to come to market. When that time comes I'll seize the moment or defer and stick with my 1973. That said there's certainly very little to fault with the 1973 in my opinion.

    '. . . 1971 Porsche 911S coupe is finished in silver over black and Pepita upholstery and is powered by a 2.2-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 15″ Fuchs-style wheels, auxiliary driving lights, a Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio, and Coco floor mats. The car received cosmetic refurbishment and an overhaul of its engine under prior ownership, and it was acquired by the seller in 2020. Subsequent work reportedly included steering, brake, and suspension work as well as a valve adjustment. This 911S is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, a tool kit, service records, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name . . .

    . . . car is said to have been repainted in metallic silver in 2008. Features include auxiliary driving lights, a driver-side mirror, and gold-colored rear badging. Photos of the body and trim can be viewed in the gallery below. The seller states that a JWest Engineering headlight relay and LED taillights have been installed . . .

    . . . Fuchs-style 15″ wheels with polished paddles and black recesses wear 185/70 Michelin XWX tires. The seller states that the brake pads, rotors, calipers, and hoses were replaced in 2020 when Turbo tie rods were installed and the steering rack was rebuilt. An overhaul of the suspension that same year reportedly included installation of front and rear Koni shocks and new torsion bars and front and rear bushings. The suspension components were powder-coated and an alignment was also performed . . .

    . . . cabin was reportedly re-trimmed in 2008 and features front seats upholstered in black vinyl with Pepita pattern inserts joined by a black dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Additional appointments include hand-crank windows, Coco floor mats, and a Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio. The pedal box was reportedly rebuilt in 2020 . . .

    . . . leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 7,200-rpm redline, a 150-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 77k miles, approximately 2k of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown . . .

    . . . 2.2-liter flat-six features mechanical fuel injection and was overhauled in 2009. Work since 2020 has reportedly included replacement of the valve cover and gaskets, a valve adjustment, and an oil change . . .

    . . . Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle that is said to have been fitted with replacement shifter bushings and a WEVO precision shift joint in 2020

    Who's writing the add for the '71 ? Euro ride height ? There was no Euro ride height in '71 .
