    Side window help

While I’m waiting for my fuel pump to be rebuilt I thought I’d address my side window issues. The drivers side goes all the way up and down, just a little stiff. I suspect a cleaning and a little lube will solve that.
The passenger side however, will only go down about 2/3s of the way. It goes easy, but then hits a solid stop. I have removed the door card and observed the windows operation, but see no obstruction. There appears to be no damage to the teeth on the gears and when it stops in the down position there are plenty of teeth on both sides of the small gear. The picture shows the bottom window channel in the down position with a good inch or better of travel Left in the scissor lift before it hits the cutout.
Any ideas before I completely disassemble the mechanism would be greatly appreciated.

Something easy to check: Measure the distance of the front edge of the glass to the start of the channel. If they have been apart they might not be in the right location. The measurement is in the workshop manual.

Found it! After more investigation I found that the felt on one side had slightly deteriorated on the back edge and made a small catch. I cut out the loose threads and all is fine now.
If I was a mechanic working on “flat rate” I would go broke. If I worked by the hour I would make a lot of money off each customer...ONCE. Think I’ll stick to working on my own stuff. Much less stress!
