Sticker with “246” ref number under driver seat????

I had to remove the driver seat to change the hand throttle control lever (white plastic piece that is forked and push the cable to depress the gas pedal).

I’m always amazed on this original/unrestored car anytime I do something how it looks like new and how clean it is.

Anyway there is a sticker at the bottom of the driver seat with the number “246”. Factory or was put later?

Didn’t check to see if there is a similar sticker under the passenger side seat

Does the number match your last 3 vin digits?

On my 63 356, the last 3 are written, on the seat frame, in the black paint.
Like someone used a pencil eraser, while the paint was still wet.
    Both seats.
