Hi Uwe,
You mean that for Porsche 1968 Recaro Sports Seats the bolsters should be perforated? How does that relate to the seat you sold here?

Why did you qualify that as a 1968 seat?
only the porsche version had basically perforation. I've written above ....
regards uwe
it is exactly like that. it was communicated with the buyer - at the time he rejected an offer of a restoration with original perforation. I would have done the same as a buyer - the seat was too nice. Incidentally, the seat was sold outside of this forum.

or he could poke them with a screwdriver
Since there was only one picture of that concerned seat, the 1968 qualification could be derived from the thick back and more bold corners (not 90 degrees as in 1967)? Did it have cross screws or slotted ones? Were the rails (if mounted) with 3 holes or 4? Thanks upfront for your reply to improve my knowledge.
Hi recarno-- What would the seats look like if the car was originally ordered driver side sport seat/ passenger side in regular comfort seat and the interior was elephant hide? thanks Chris

the seat was definitely too good for the screwdriver... we shouldn't continue spamming the sales thread of richard's beautiful red seat here.
@chris: an elephant skin swb was offered here some time ago - please use the search function yourself
sorry richard

It’s not correct to state it’s aftermarket.
It’s not dealer installed would be better since with the exception of upholstery and/or badge is it the same seat from the same company made in the same era and sometimes even the same year.Difference Between OEM and Aftermarket Parts
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer, which means the parts are made by the same company that makes the vehicle. Meanwhile, aftermarket parts are produced by a different parts company and are often designed to be compatible with as many makes and/or models as possible. Due to these design differences, aftermarket parts won’t always provide the same superior fit of OEM parts
Just my $.02
