    Adam, did the guy happen to find the exact area that started the fire?

    Not sure, he was trying to figure out if it was something a mechanic had done, the insurance company was involved. I made an offer on the car and he didn't accept, so I moved on. It did check a box on my bucket list, the guy told me where the car was and said words I've always wanted to hear, "meet me in the back alley".

    It was in a garage behind a row house in DC. Driving around DC with a trailer is no fun, but I made it in and out very early, so when I went the wrong way down a one way street it was just me and my pride that noticed.

    I thought VIN swapping was illegal in most of Europe... how would anyone expect that to meet TÜV Germany approval?
