Price Check Request: Bosch Italian Spec Front Signal Lenses

    Hi Everyone:

I have a pair of original Bosch Italian-spec front signal lenses that I am ready to pass along to a new home.

However, because these are rare (and not in concours condition) I'm having trouble assessing the proper price/value. Rather than posting them at an incorrect number--on either side of the spectrum--I hoped the gurus here could give me some input.

Here are some photos of the actual lenses (as I said, not concours ...):

I bought a similar set at the Lit Show this year for $400.

Is there a difference between the Italian lenses and other European lenses like German home market lenses?

Yes, my understanding is that the Italian-spec lenses were 2/3 (or 3/4) clear and that the Euro lenses (for countries other than Italy) were 1/3 (or 1/4) clear.

Thanks very much for this info! This is a very timely benchmark for these lenses.

The euro and Italian lenses have the amber/clear sections reversed.

Edit. No they don't. It's just a matter of less paint.

    Green vs. Green. Nicely done.

FWIW, I plan to move my lenses over to the "for sale" section in the coming days.

Just mention in the add these are for a car up to 1972 as the 1973 italian versions, just as ROW cars, got these reverse amber/clear lenses with a black outside trim.

    GLWS

Post-delivery Italian style mod: central roof antenna - yes, it will be removed once the car needs a sympathetic restoration...
