    Quick questions.
How much extra oil do these systems take to fill ?
How do you drain the lines and system at oil change time?
    Thanks

I recently swapped out my '74- trombone for a proper '73 trombone. The trombone I took out had a regular can of beans worth of oil (~400 ml) in it. The trombone stretched out is probably about the length of the rocker lines. So the supply and returns probably each have a similar amount, so for a trombone system you are looking at something like 1.2 litres. Not sure what the volume of the radiator systems are. Probably not that different.

    Thanks Ravi,
I am assuming that the oil in the system just gets diluted into the fresh oil on service.

Yep, unless you blow it out by undoing the lines at the thermostat bypass valve. Should amount to about 10% of the oil in the system, give or take.

Back in the day, around, 1980 I had a 2.7 1974 normal, daily driver, with non-factory air and no cooler. On hot LA days, oil temp would get around 250 with the A/C on.. I bought a take off system from a Carrera of the same year: a simple Loop cooler, no fan; half the cooling, more or less, comes from the line up to the loop. With that set up, my oil temp never got over 210 and I felt much better. Thanks.
