Thread: Alternator question

    Alternator question

I have a issue with my alternator lamp. When I turn on ignition, lamp glows yellow as it should. The lamp goes out when engine turns on but as I gradually increase RPM's the lamp starts to glow yellow. I had alternator out, cleaned all connections and they seem fine. Im wondering what else I should check or do I need to take alternator to a repair shop. Not sure if I can test diodes at home. Car is a 1971 911T.
Thanks in advance to any help.

I'd also check the voltage regulator.
