901 and early 911 exhaust system

    Hello people,

We have a problem with the exhaust system for ours early 911s. On 901 and early 911 was a different exhaust system and we dont know any supplier of this system. And we need some sets. So we cooperate with the one custom exhaust system manufacturer for production of this early exhaust system. We want to produce a series of this systems in very good quality, so it will be available for sale. Please do you know someone who ownes this exhaust? We want scan this exhaust with 3D scanner... Very urgent....

    Best regards, Vojtech Bejda

Hi, are you referring to the manifolds needed for FIA papers? Or something different?

But Freisinger has only headers, no silencer.

    Silencer is that a muffler?

If so finding an original muffler w the different tip would be a great achievement especially if you need it urgent. Easier would be to start w a nos leistritz (if you can ignore the date stamp) and reverse the tip and copy that. Just my $.02

Please keep us posted on how eventually you tackled the heat exchanger and muffler. It would be awesome if you find what you are after.

Interesting. Don't mean to go off-topic, but does anyone know when the earliest-type manifold was abandoned in favour of something more familiar? Sometime early in 1965? Any factory documentation that records the event? Much appreciated.

I think He is referring to the early style muffler with the additional shield around it in line with the 356 mufflers. I have one and have been in talks through a friend to have a well known outfit make some
