As usual I went a different way. I bought highly recommended bushes. They went flat (rears) in 2 years. Then went with Rebel's some 6 or 7 years ago. Smooth as silk. I let torsion bars be what they are, springs. And then let the bushes rotate smoothly. I have never understood why people want vertical compliance at the bushing that lets suspension setting move. I want compliance were the spring plate, trailing arm, and axle come together. My car is happy (the car talks a lot and I listen), squeak free, and no grease needed.
After 12,000 miles the Teflon liners are still perfect. The liners are easily replaced if needed.
I also have the first set of bushings Rebel made for the front of SWB cars. I had to pester Clint for a year or two to get him to make them.
I try to keep an open mind to newer products and developments for our long hoods. For those who want bone stock your choices are limited.
